Introduction

This training pack provides skills and knowledge necessary for being a waiter/waitress. There will be both demonstration by trainers/instructors and opportunity for trainees to carry out the skills/tasks necessary for this level of technical workforce. Trainees will practise and learn skills by using typical tools, materials and equipment necessary for this training program.

Aim

On successful completion of this training, the trainees will be able to provide various types of services to the clients i:e perform various types of hygienic activities, arrangement activities, and administrative activities to be carried out by a waiter or waitress.

Objectives

 After completion of this training program the trainees will be able to:

  • To provide various types of services to be carried out by a waiter or waitress (eg: service food to the guest, table set-up etc)
  • To perform various types of hygienic activities to be carried out by a waiter or waitress;
  • To perform various types of arrangement activities to be carried out by a waiter or waitress; and
  • To perform various types of administrative activities to be carried out by a waiter or waitress.

Duration:

3 months (i.e. 3×130 hours equal to 390 hours

Target Group:

All interested individuals in the field of Waiter/Waitress  with educational prerequisite of minimum of class five pass

Medium of Instruction:

Nepali or English or both

Pattern of Attendance:

Trainees should have 90% attendance during the training period to get the certificate.
