This training on Assistant Baker is a competency based short term training. It is conducted to produce employable graduates equipped with knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for bakery. The main emphasis given in this training is on the skills for employment. It is believed that once the trainees acquire the competencies, they will have ample opportunity for wage/ self employment through which they will contribute in the national streamline of poverty reduction.
The main aim of this program is to produce employable graduates in bakery who can prepare bakery items.
After completion of this training program the trainees will be able to:
1. Prepare bakery items and mise-en place (before preparation of bakery items)
2. Mantain fundamental hygiene and commodity preservation concerning bakery items
3. To Prepare of different types of cake’s, pastries and cookies items.( eg. Black forest, white forest, butter cookies, etc.)
4. To prepare of different confectionary items. (eg. Fruit cake, banana cake, etc)
3 months (i.e. 3×130 hours equal to 390 hours)
All interested individuals in the field of Bakery with educational prerequisite of minimum of class five pass
As per the need of the target group
Nepali or English or both
Trainees should have 90% attendance during the training period to get the certificate.
