Hotel Assistant

Course Information


This training on Hotel Assistant is a competency based short term training. It is conducted to produce employable graduates in the field hospitality profession/ occupation equipped with knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for the same field. The main emphasis given in this training is on the skills for employment. It is believed that once the trainees acquire the competencies, they will have ample opportunity for wage/ self employment through which they will contribute in the national streamline of poverty reduction.


The main aim of this program is to produce employable graduates who can assist in the hotel and restaurants for basic works.


 After completion of this training program the trainees will be able to:

1. Develop the commodity preparation

2. Exercise of hygiene & knowledge

3. Preparation of Indian, Continental, Chinese, Nepali food items

  • Prepare Breakfast and Snacks
  • Prepare Sauces/ Gravies
  • Prepare Appetizers
  • Prepare Soups
  • Prepare Breads
  • Prepare Rice And Daals
  • Prepare Vegetable
  • Prepare Fish and Meat
  • Prepare Desserts

Develop the skill of food and beverage

  • Restaurant Layout
  • Restaurant Table Layout
  • Mise-en-place
  • Food and Beverage Service
  • Post Service

Develop the skill of Housekeeping

  • Guest room Arrangement
  • Hotel Indoor/ Outdoor Area Cleaning & Arrangement
  • Communication

Applied English

  • Greet the Guest
  • Farewell the Guest
  • Deal the guest in Front Desk
  • Take order with Guest in restaurant/ bar
  • Handle complaints
  • Deal With Guest regarding recreational facilities


3 months (i.e. 3×130 hours equal to 390 hours

Target Group:

All interested individuals in the field of  Hotel Assistant  with educational prerequisite of minimum of class five pass

Group Size:

Maximum 20

Group Number:

As per the need of the target group Medium of InstructionNepali or English or both

Pattern of Attendance:

Trainees should have 90% attendance during the training period to get the certificate.
